A Card, The File, and Vegan Cookies

Friday, August 4, 2017

Happy Friday! This summer is flying by too fast!  Today I wanted to share with you a card I made for the WPlus9 Blog a few weeks ago.  I used the new Southern Summer Florals 1 stamped in blue!
I used layers and layers of white cardstock.  I love the shadow from the 'love' die cut word.  If you'd like to read a little more about how I created this card visit the original post here.
Below you will see some of the projects that have been added to the Friday Inspiration File for this week.  Week #324! Check them out.  I don't always post them here on my blog, but I do have a weekly post on Instagram sharing what has been added to my Pinterest file if you want to follow along there.

Clockwise from top left: Torico, Erum, Flora, Anni, Michele, Larissa

Wish me luck! I have entered cookies into a competition at my husband's work.  I used a recipe from Beaming Baker.  Her Vegan Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies.  I altered the recipe only slightly.  I omitted the shaved coconut and added a few more chocolate chips.  They're delicious!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Punny Produce Peaches

Thursday, August 3, 2017

Hey there! Today I'm mixing old and new WPlus9 sets on my blog and on the WPlus9 Design Blog.  For the old I'm using the Punny Produce sets.  Peaches here and Pears over there.  You'd never know these sets were release 3 years ago!

I've mixed them with the newly released Basic Labels and Basic Greetings stamps and dies as well as that tiny accent stamp from Summer Citrus.  It fits perfectly on the peaches and pears!

The sentiments mix so well to create cards for any occasion.

Thanks so much for coming by today. Check out the Pears on the WPlus9 Blog!

Feminine Navy

Tuesday, August 1, 2017

Hi guys! Going from no color yesterday to all the colors. Pink, Navy, and Gray....these colors together are just so good!  Nautical Navy, Shell Pink, Fairy Dust and Silver Lining to be exact.    Although more than half of the colors are what you might consider masculine, just that touch of pink really makes this feminine.  I would love a dress in these colors and pattern.

I used Autumn Leaves which is the prefect mix of lined and solid stamps.  I stamped them in an all over, overlapping pattern.  The panel behind that was created by swiping the ink pads directly onto the cardstock.  Pink at the top, then light gray, dark gray and finally navy at the bottom.

I love to use black as an accent.  To me a design is not finished until it has some kind of contrast.  I guess instead of a pop of color I prefer a pop of black. I used the butterfly from the Concord and 9th Floral and Flutter die and a banner die cut for my sentiment.  The sentiment is from PTI Stylish Sentiments Birthday stamp set and it is heat embossed in white.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
